Lead or participate in your Council’s in-service closure days on any aspect of 5-14 maths (for both primary and/or secondary colleagues), particularly for programmes of study, progressions in mental agility and/or problem solving, promoting interactive teaching and/or raising attainment in maths.

Provide post inspection support for any of your Councils’s primary or secondary schools to help them implement HMI recommendations on any aspect of 5-14 maths eg promote more interactive teaching, improve the provision for mental agility, have better problem solving and enquiry skills, improve the use of IT for information handling, or, increase the pace of learning at particular stages.

Have a licensing agreement which would enable your Council to copy and distribute some (or all) of the Maths on Track support resources to your schools.

Do an attainment analysis for 5-14 reading, writing and maths for any school, cluster of schools or all schools in your Council. Such an analysis can help give your Council a more informed view of where best to support.
